Reclining Motor Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The fold seat control ECU receives switch operation signals from the No. 1 and No. 2 fold seat switch and rear power seat switch, and activates the power seat motors.

1.

CHECK POWER SEAT MOTOR (RECLINING MOTOR VOLTAGE)


(a) Disconnect the a1 and a3 or Y1 and Y3 connectors.

(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Voltage:

INSPECT POWER SEAT MOTOR (RECLINING MOTOR)


(a) Remove the power seat motors (reclining motor) SEAT: REAR NO. 2 SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Power Seat Type LH Side): DISASSEMBLY (2008 Sequoia) .

(b) Check the operation of the No. 1 reclining motor.

(1) Check if the seat moves smoothly when the battery is connected to the reclining motor connector terminals.

OK:

Measurement Condition

Specified Condition

Battery positive (+) → 1

Battery negative (-) → 2

Motor gear rotates clockwise

Battery positive (+) → 2

Battery negative (-) → 1

Motor rear rotates counterclockwise


(c) Check the operation of the No. 2 reclining motor.

(1) Check if the seat moves smoothly when the battery is connected to the reclining motor connector terminals.

OK:

CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FOLD SEAT CONTROL ECU - RECLINING MOTOR)


(a) Disconnect the O33 or P19 ECU connector.

(b) Disconnect the a1 or Y1 motor connector.

(c) Disconnect the a3 or Y3 motor connector.

(d) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
